St Finbarre's

Here's a pic of Saint Finbarre's Cathedral in Cork that I took on very late Friday/very early Saturday.

Considering that it was a 15 second exposure with no tripod and that I'd consumed a not insignificant amount of beer, gin and wine I think it didn't come out too bad. Posted by Picasa

Arno

For no reason in particular, here is a picture of Arno Funke (a.k.a Dagobert)

Why did the Kerryman...?

Pictured at some café in Cork at the weekend.

What was the name of it again? Anyone? Anyone?

I did see some fog pouring over mountain into lake action on my way to work this morning, but I decided not to stop and take a snap as I was late for work. Hopefully the fog'll be back for my Thursday trip and I'll have a pic for here.Posted by Picasa

Quackology

I've decided to create a list of fictional ducks that I not only like, but admire and look up to.

Here goes nothing:
  • Count Duckula
  • Daffy
  • Dagobert
  • Donald
  • Doofus Drake
  • Fenton Crackshell
  • Gladstone Gander

On the mountain

Larger Image

At the risk of (not that I care really) overdoing it here's another stitch up from up the mountain on my way home this evening.

And, no, I'm not sponsored by the Co. Clare tourist board.

Another stitch

Larger Image

This time from Flagmount. It was starting to get a bit dark, but no duckies this time to mess up the reflections.

By the way the cool program to "stitch" the images together is autostitch.

A stitch in time

Larger Image

A stitched together picture I took in Kilgory on my way home this evening.

Flippin' ducks rippled up the water a little bit. The blighters.

Yes - I am aware that the full size image is a bit on the large side.

Why did SON wear two pairs of trousers?

The date is next Saturday, the place is Cork, the game is g-g-g-Golf.

Who's in?

Who's going to book it?

The pic is of anti-gravity SON after scoring a p&p hole in one in Killarney a few years ago.

He went on to not buy the customary drinks for everyone.

No one was surprised. (Photo courtesy Sportsfile) Posted by Picasa

Furex

Ladies, Gentlemen, fellow travellers - I give you the fury that is Furey.

I had forgotten about these photos from Gash's wedding. Taken by Mike (if the intelligence I've received is correct).

I have a feeling they might be popular! Posted by Picasa

Productivity

As an experiment I've decided not to consume any liquids next week.

The point of this is to see if there are real productivity benefits in not going to the bathroom - ever.

Watch this space!

Galway are back (home)

The minor and senior teams on show in C'well on Monday night.

"Thanks for great year" - indeed.

I wonder which local bumpkin wrote the sign. Posted by Picasa

Hattie Wainthrop Investigates

El Spocko after the match yesterday in curious good form.

PS I don't particularly feel like talking about the match, except to say congrats to Cork and well done to the Galway lads for giving us a good day out. Posted by Picasa

The Big Match

I'm off to Dublin tomorrow for the match on Sunday. I just wanted to record my prediction here, so:

Galway 2-20
Cork 1-20

I hope there aren't many Cork people at the game.. because they get on my nerves!Posted by Picasa

Catch yourself on.. to Norn Iron.

I had a hundred silvery-gold coins on Engerland last night - to win twenty.

Easy money I thought, but I failed to take Sven's tiny brain size into the equation.

Bungling betting badness.

My impending junket to Cork

Things that I won't be doing in Cork tomorrow
  • wearing a huge sombrero and matching poncho
  • claiming that I'm the capital of anywhere that I'm not
  • drinking/endorsing any Mexican lady beer
  • loosing my jumper
  • telling everyone that I'm Cha from Cha and Mia
  • an Eddie Hobbs impersonation "or any of that kind of thing"
  • speaking in my own made up space language
I will be going for a few pints though.. if any of you are interested.

Shiner Sheepsnot

Shiner needs a ticket for the All-Ireland. If you have one spare.. Posted by Picasa

Name change

I've decided to change my name to something that fits better with my sheeply, snotty, but somehow superior personality.

After some 2 minutes intensive reflection, I've decided that from now on I'd like to be known as "Sir Sean Sheepsnot".

Thank you for your time.
